039 | Self-Confidence
We all live in our own fantasy world, so there is no limit to what you can achieve if you are bold enough to believe in it.

Hello friends,
— Most prophecies are self-fulfilling.
If Voldemort had never went to try and murder the “potential threat to his power”, he would never have lost it.
If so many manufacturers hadn’t believed Moore’s law that microprocessors would grow in power while their price and size would shrink exponentially, technology wouldn’t have evolved enough for you to hold your smartphone right now.
In this sense, it’s not so much that those who professed them were brilliant but instead that there were people ready to believe.
How can that help you? Well, stay with me a bit longer to find out.
A creation of your mind
I’ve always been fascinated by the power of our mind. It’s quite an interesting tool, isn’t it? And, no matter how fast computers improve, they will never get even close to the wonders of the human mind.
— What is reality?
Well that’s easy to say, reality is what you’re experiencing right now, while reading these very words, isn’t it? It’s the world that surrounds you and in which you live every day.
Now, let’s imagine I asked the same question to you while you were dreaming, would the answer be so straightforward? Would you be able to tell that you are not in the “real world”, and that it’s just a fantasy of your mind?
Or instead, let’s imagine you just argued with your significant other, I bet you’d be very keen on telling me what really happened… at least, according to you. But would him/her have the same story? Wouldn’t it depend on what they experienced with their own mind and senses?
— Is this the real life? Is this just fantasy?
Science has proven that to succeed and perform at their best, athletes mentally prepare: they map out every detail, and visualize every movement. While doing so, and although they only conceive it in their mind, the same regions of their brains activate than when they were experiencing the real physical effort. The brain can’t difference fantasy from reality.
After all, like Stephen R. Covey said:
“All things are created twice.” — Stephen R. Covey
Everything is created twice, and first is the mental creation, then is the physical one. Everything you experience, even what you think you see, depends on your mind.
Build self-confidence
In this sense, who you are and what you can do is only dependent on you, and what you think of yourself. Not on others.
“Whether you think you can, or you think you can't—you're right.” — Henry Ford
There is usually a little war between idealists, pessimists and realisitic people.
The optimists and idealists will see the cup half full,
The pessimists will see the cup half empty,
And the realistic people will only see a glass without trying to make it talk, just a glass that is neither completely full nor empty.
Another example is people faced with an unprecedented and very high obstacles.
Some will just choose to give up because they don’t they think they are limited,
Others will just do it without thinking much (I envy them),
And lastly, some will be aware of their present limits but purposely choose to overcome them.
At the end of the day, remember that we all live in our own fantasy world, so there is no limit to what you can achieve if you are bold enough to believe in it.
“Whatever the mind can conceive and believe, it can achieve.” — Napoleon Hill
So, what does it coest you? Be an idealist, an optimist, the only limits you’ll find in this world are the ones you put for yourself. So, please, get on tiger and make this world yours.

We often underestimate how much a small change, in our mindset can have a tremendous effect on our life. In many ways, changing the way you see yourself is changing who you are, and how other people see you.
