Taking a break
Hello friends,
I hope you’re doing alright these days.
As you probably know, I preach a lot the idea of experiencing life at one‘s own pace, learning how to listen to our own selves and take the appropriate measures to prioritize our well being. It's not easy to do though, it's actually often easier to let the flow of life overwhelm us and take reactive measures (when we have no other choice) rather than proactive ones.
An amazing friend reminded me just yesterday of The Golden Egg Story I shared with you a few weeks ago. In order to continue to have golden eggs, produce amazing content, or learn fast, you have to take preventive steps and care for your hen (being here your mental and physical health). It's a process that I call maintenance, just like you'd oil your pretty car so that it keeps rolling well, make sure you do the same for yourself and keep your personal compass well attuned.
So, trying to listen to my own advice for once, I'll take a break from the newsletter, the blog posts and social medias until the last week of July. I'll use this time efficiently to understand where are my priorities, what work for me and what I really want to achieve. I think it's particularly important, especially in the situation we're currently in with COVID-19, and the world being a mess.
See you next month! 👋🏾
— What I learned this week
Here's what I've been loving this week:
📱 One app I'm trying : Forest App • If like me you sometimes struggle to focus on a given task at a given time, this app will help you. It makes you put down your phone for a given amount of time (ex: 25min), by growing a tree. If you touch phone before the end, the tree will die.
📱 Another app I'm trying : Toggl • Another app to track time and see where it goes. Toggl help you figure out how much time you allocate to a given tasks, it's mostly suited for freelances or workers who need to bill their clients, but it's also useful for students!
— What I created for you this week
Here is what I've created for you this week, don't hesitate to share your thoughts with me in the comments ! 🙌
We all have 24 hours
When you look at Bill Gates, Elon Musk and startup businessmen, it’s easy to feel like you’re not enough. But...
The Story of The Golden Egg
One morning, while caring for his gooses and fetching their eggs, a farmer finds a Golden Egg. What will he do?
Thank you once more for reading 🙏🏾
See you next month,
